General Terms and Conditions of "DAS GUTE BUCH Verlagsanstalt" („the good book“):
Completion of a contract
Your online order will be confirmed by us per email (Order confirmation). The sales contract with “DAS GUTE BUCH Verlagsanstalt“ shall come into existence upon receipt of our invoice, respectively our advance invoice for the books and articles available.
Cancellation and retraction
You may cancel the contract in written within two weeks to the following address:
or by returning the goods. After the expiry of two weeks we do not take the goods back. Punctual dispatch suffices for observance of the deadline.
Provided that the order value is above 100,00 CHF (or the equivalent in foreign currency) "DAS GUTE BUCH Verlagsanstalt" shall reimburse, the cost of return shipment. However, it is noted that "DAS GUTE BUCH Verlagsanstalt" has the right to withhold in the event of impairment of value caused by use of the goods. This means that the returned items must be in new, unused condition. Please write down the reason for the return on the backside of the delivery note and send the package, postage paid, - best in its original package – to the above mentioned address. We will transfer the value of the goods – and where appropriate – on the giro or bank account to be specified by you. In case you pay on account, we will offset postage expenses we have to pay against possible outstanding invoice amounts from the returned delivery and inform you per email of the credit note. If the invoice amount does not yet have been paid by you, the invoice will be irrelevant by the return.
Please note that we charge for an incorrect return, or for damage or signs of use, which are due to improper use, a value surcharge.
When returning goods for a value of more than 100,-- CHF we ask in each case for the mode of shipment "package" and save the receipt of posting until receipt of our credit note. If your return has a weight of more than 20 kg, please call us before sending it: phone number 00423 390 09 03 or inform us per email: contact email@example.com. Possibly, we will then organize a collection.
When sending goods back to us which were purchased with a gift voucher, the amount will be charged to your gift voucher account automatically. You can then redeem your credit on your next order. Here, too, we will notify you by e-mail. Please note the expiration date of the voucher.
A right of withdrawal does not apply to audio or video recordings (eg CDs, video cassettes, DVDs, etc.) that have been unsealed by the customer.
Unless otherwise agreed, delivery is made to the customer's delivery address. The goods are delivered by our distribution centers in Germany (for Germany and Austria) and Liechtenstein (for Switzerland and Liechtenstein). For all other countries delivery is made from Liechtenstein. Postage and packing will be charged additionally. Delivery of the publisher's own products can be effected immediately after receipt of the order; for goods ordered from other publishers, the delivery time can be one to four days, in exceptional cases (for deliveries from overseas, etc.) longer. We will do our best, however, to handle your order immediately after receipt and notify you accordingly by prolonged delivery time on the scheduled date of delivery. If a book at the time your order is already out of print or still undeliverable, we will also inform you of it.
Maturity and Payment
Purchasers from Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein can pay the purchase price under the following conditions per invoice:
Payment per invoice is only possible for customers over 18 years.
Term of payment is usually 30 days from invoice date; deviating agreements require writing.
For new customers, there is a maximum limit of CHF 100,-- up to which the payment by invoice is possible. (This does not apply to registered booksellers and publishers in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein which were already covered by our index and given our data. They may please get in touch with us per e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org for the purpose of specifying a resale discount).
If the customer does fall behind with the payment, die "DAS GUTE BUCH Verlagsanstalt" holds the right to levy interests for delay as high as 5 percentage point above the European Central Bank base rate mature on exceedance of the agreed terms of payment. If the delay results in higher costs, "DAS GUTE BUCH Verlagsanstalt" holds the right to lodge a claim for these costs. Liechtenstein law applies. Place of jurisdiction is 9490 Vaduz, Liechtenstein.
The shipping address, mailing address and the invoice address have to be within Switzerland or the Principality of Liechtenstein. The invoice amount is due within 30 days to the postal or bank account of "DAS GUTE BUCH Verlagsanstalt" stated in the invoice.
If the delivery address is different from the billing address of the customer, the invoice amount shall be due upon receipt.
Also for the purchase of gift vouchers which are sent to another address than the purchaser, the amount is due on receipt of the invoice. Shipment to another adress than to the customer and invoice recipient (for example, to a recipient) takes place only after full payment of the invoice amount for the voucher.
Customers from Germany, Austria and the rest of Europe can only be supplied by "DAS GUTE BUCH Verlagsanstalt" against payment in advance by credit card via PayPal, or by advance payment of the advance invoice, taking account of the relevant customs regulations and market values of foreign currencies against the Swiss Francs to the bank account specified by us in the advance invoice. The respective clearing rates are adjusted in the short term the current market price of the Swiss Stock Exchange and for 14 days from invoice date advance. In the case of larger price fluctuations beyond this time we reserve the right to make a correction of the advance invoice. Credit notes for course fluctuations cannot be granted. In addition, these general terms and conditions shall be applicable also for the rest of Europe.
Reservation of proprietary rights
The delivered goods shall remain the property of "DAS GUTE BUCH Verlagsanstalt" until the invoice is paid in full.
Responsibility for defects
If there is a defect in the purchased goods, the purchaser can either return the goods (see above) or withdraw from the contract for not irrelevant defects, reduce the purchase price or claim compensation. The cessation of these claims by the customer is excluded.
Liechtenstein law applies exclusively with the exclusion of the UN Sales Convention. Place of jurisdiction is 9490 Vaduz / Principality of Liechtenstein
